We proudly present Rick Berthod.
A well known blues guitarist and composer
who tours in Vegas and California as well
as across the country.
RICK BERTHOD
October saw the amazing team of JP Durand
and Liza Carbe, as well the outstanding
vocalist and guitarist Ricky Z, and the hot
as fire drummer....Timothy Curle.
The jammers came by the boat load and
we had many exciting guest players.

TED RUSSELL KAMP
Ted Russell Kamp is a Grammy winning bass player, singer songwriter and producer. For the last 20 years Ted has been sharing his musical talents here is the LA area.
Rolling Stone has called Kamp an "MVP of the California Roots Music scene" Ted has 13 albums of orginal material and his latest is Solitaire, which came out on May 2021. It has received critical acclaim. Boy oh boy...are we in for a treat.

Guitarist Billy Watts' deep understanding of roots and Blues rhythm styles has made him one of LA's most in demand guitarists for several decades. Billy is a full time member of SoCal mainstay...Teresa James and The Rhythm Tramps as well as the power trio ..the Mojo Monkeys.

A native of Utica, NY, vocalist/harmonica player
Matt Lomeo became the youngest artist ever invited to perform at a Woodstock Festival.
Matt honed his chops in New York City and
on World-famous Beale St., Memphis, TN.
Los Angeles is now his home.
A huge THANK YOU to our June Host:
the Irvin Magic Kramer band.
"Magic" brought new songs and filled the Legion
hall with lots of enthusiasm for our June Jam.
Listeners and dancers alike were delighted with
this new face to our Blues Society members.
Irvin Magic Kramer:
Songsmith, vocalist and guitarist.
He's played with some of the best, like The Knack, Bonnie Bramlett and Ray Charles.
Throw in BB King, James Taylor, Michael McDonald,
Willie Nelson and Diana Krall.
Come visit us June 12th and
be amazed by this talent.
The SCV Blues Society
closed out December and
the 2021 schedule with a BLAST.
Santa Claus failed to show;
however, the SCV Blues Society and
American Legion really came
through on the
Toys for Tots drive.

For our regular 2nd Sunday Jams there is a $7.00 cover at the
door. Current members are $5.00
Our host band plays from 5 to 5:45 pm.
Come early and sign up to jam. Bring your dancin' shoes !!!
- If you haven't been to one of these 2nd Sunday Jams, you are in for a real treat! A lot of great guest artists show up. We have a large turnout of established musicians joining in the Blues Jam and everyone has loads of fun. Come out and join us, you'll be glad you did! Bring your friends and family.
- The Society's 2nd Sunday Blues Jam is held on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The new location is "The Newhall American Legion Post 507" 24527 Spruce Street. Newhall, CA. 91321.
- All Ages Welcome. Come hungry (Kitchen temporarily closed due to Covid) - Come Thirsty and bring your dancing shoes!
- There is a $7 entry fee at the door. It's $5 for current members (You support the society and the Legion. What a deal!
- Guests under the age of 21 are admitted free and we encourage young "Blues" musicians to join us.
- Come out and show us what you've got. Each month will feature a different "Blues Spotlight Host Band"
