Held on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 5 to 9 pm.
We have a different Blues band hosting the Jam each month.
The event is open to non members, families and all ages.
There is a $7 entry fee. Current members are $5.00
Bring your instrument and come join in the Fun!
We have famous surprise guest artists that show up
to hang out and play.

2018 Blues Events
May 12th, 2018. Five female lead bands help
celebrate Mother's Day. This was a charity
event for Single Mothers Outreach.
2017 Blues Events
Sharing the background and importance of Blues music to our youth is our goal. Blues music is America's music and young people especially, should know about the musical heritage of America and of the Blues.
Educating them on how America's music has evolved and how the Blues form the roots of today's popular music is important to use in their teaching.
Help us share this knowledge with the children by supporting this concert. Your donation allows us to teach the history of the Blues, familiarize the students with famous Blues musicians, different styles of Blues, and how to write, sing and perform the Blues.
And buying tickets in your favorite band's name also lets them know how much you appreciate their art.
We have three great players which have been chosen to playoff on August 5th at International Blues Music Day.
The competition was fierce. These young players are dedicated to learning and perfecting their craft.
We are proud to be supporting these activities and hope to encourage and engage many more young persons interested in Blues music
Your donations are critical in continuing our efforts with our children.
The Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society is reaching out to raise money for the reincarnation of a previous Blues Society program promoting the "Blues Heritage" style music in our local high schools. The Blues is an historic cultural music form that is the basis of popular modern music. We at the society strive to "Keep the Blues Alive".

2009 Blues Events
Legendary "Little Feat" Drummer, Richie Hayward needs our help. He has been diagnosed with Liver Cancer and in the coming year, he will have to undergo many costlytreatments and eventually will need a Liver Transplant. Richie's Illness has forced him to take an indefinite leave of absence from the band that has been such a huge partof his life for almost 40 years. As a consequence, he is receiving no income and he has no health insurance. To help ease Richie's financial burden, SCV Blues was one of the sponsors for the Benefit Concert to help raise some much needed money for Richie's ongoing healthcare bills. INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE "BATTLE OF THE BANDS"

"SANTA CLARITA VALLEY BLUES FESTIVAL"
Saturday, June 3rd at Central Park, Santa Clarita
On June 3rd, the Society hosted "The SCV Blues Festival"
in conjunction with the ACS "Relay For Life" at Central Park in Santa
Clarita. This was an all day event featuring eight of the top Blues
Bands in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Featured performers for the Festival were Michael John & The Bottom Line, The Jeff Jensen Band, Forced Call, Toni Dodd & Southbound Blues, The Moxie Blues Band, Boiler House Blues, Mike Dill and Parker-Sabie.
Before and after "The Blues Festival", we also had some of our other members' bands perform. They include Nuttin' Cowboy, Weedeeter and Katee Gadette.
This incredible lineup was followed by a 4 hour "Acoustic Blues Jam". We had an attendance of over 4,500 people and they witnessed the incredible talent that exists on our own doorstep. John Parker, who often performs for ACS events, was responsible for putting the entire concert together by working as the Entertainment Chairman for the SCV Relay.
Thanks to Chris Sabie, The SCV Blues Society was a Bronze Sponsor for the Relay and had a booth right next to the stage. We had a lot of interested Blues lovers stop by to check us out.
We have had so many favorable comments regarding the festival and many requests for more entertainment, that we are in the early planning stages for "The Second Annual SCV Blues Festival" for 2007. Thanks to all of our bands that participated and our members who worked tirelessly in the hot summer sun. Our Society Rocks!

BURBANK RELAY FOR LIFE "ACOUSTIC BLUES CONCERT"
Saturday, July 8th at Robert Gross Park, Burbank
Due to the overwhelming success of our "First Annual SCV Blues Festival" and the following Acoustic Blues Jam, we have been asked by the Burbank Relay for Life to provide an 2 hour "Acoustic Blues Concert" from 10pm till midnight immediately following the Luminaria Ceremony.
Artists/Society Members participating for the cause will be Chris Sabie, John Parker, Jeff Jensen, Bill Ruffino and Mike Dill.

"LOUISIANA LOVESONG BENEFIT"
Sunday, September 18th at Joe's Great American Bar & Grill, Burbank
The SCV Blues Society presented a Benefit Show for Hurricane Victims at Joe's Great American Bar & Grill in Burbank on Sunday, September 18th. The Benefit was put together by the undying energy of Toni Dodd, whose hard work made this event a great success! Many of our Society members participated by playing, helping with the sound system, working the door and coming out to donate their money and support for a great cause. The Society raised $1576 from those attending and additional money was donated by Joe's Great American Bar & Grill. Thanks to all who made it possible.
